Mario Sports Mix Nintendo Wii - Entertainment - Video Games

Mario Sports Mix is a video game in which numerous Mario characters compete with each other in the four sports of Dodge Ball, Hockey, Volleyball, and Basketball. The developer for this game is Square-Enix and the Publisher is Nintendo. The Wii remote or Wii remote with the nunchuck are the only two usable controllers.

Just like in Mario Kart you can use items to help you beat the opposing team. You can set banana peels on the court to make other players slip. Green Shells are used to stun other players and only go in one direction. Red shells usually lock-on the opponent automatically. Bob-ombs are explosives that can be thrown at an opponent.

Exactly nineteen characters are playable in Mario Sports Mix. This game game isn't limited to just Mario characters, but also some Final Fantasy players and a Dragon Quest Characters. These extra players have to be unlocked first before you can play as them. The nineteen characters can be divided into five special classes. Powerful, Technical, All-rounder, Tricky and Speedy are the five classes.

Party mode is where you can find four different mini games for Mario Sports Mix. In one mini game you'll shoot basketballs into Petey Piranha's mouth. In the dodge ball mini game you have to avoid Bob-ombs that are being hurled at you. Another game has all the players trying to push each other off of a platform. The volleyball mini game you have to receive balls that match your color.

The Mushroom, Flower and Star Cups are available in Tournament Mode. Within this mode there are hidden paths that can be taken .Extra stages and characters and stages are obtainable from those paths. If you want to completely unlock everything you'll be spending some time in that mode. A friend or two can also join your team in this mode. A hard version of Tournament Mode can be unlocked.

A sports video game isn't complete without multiplayer options and Mario Sports Mix doesn't disappoint. Four, three, or just two people can play. There's even an online multiplayer where you can have a match with friends that live far away or with random people.

Mario Sports Mix Nintendo Wii is even more fun with other people.
