How Do I Fix Wiimote Sync Problems

Last night, when I tried turnning on my Wii console by Wiimote, no respond. This was the first time I met with Wiimote problems. By searching a while on the Internet, I found an efficient way to solve Wiimote problem. That is to re-sync the Wiimote controller.

The Wiimote coming with my Wii console has been already synced at the factory. However, it lost its sync after long term of use. In this case, I have to re-sync the Wiimote with my console by the following steps...

Step 1. Turn on the Wii console. Press any button on the Wiimote after the Home screen appears. Check the light of the 4 squares button on the bottom. If it remains dark, it means the Wiimote is short of power. You need to replace the batteries.

If button light is blinking on blue color, the remote may not synced up. Stop what you are doing, and press button 1 and 2 at the same time. This may help to re-sync Wiimote and solve the Wiimote problems.

However, I didn't fix my Wiimote sync problem by this step. So I moved on to the next step.

Step 2. Turn your wii off and unplug the power cord from the Wii console, and then plug it back after a few seconds. Turn the console back on, and stay on the "health and safety" screen. Go to the front of the console and find a small door located near the disc drive slot. Open it and hold down the red(sync) button on your Wii console for 20 seconds and then release.

Step 3. Remove the battery panel on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up. Press and release the red small button just under the batteries on the Wii remote. You will see the player LED blinking. Quickly press and release the red button on the on the Wii console.

When the player LED blinking stops, the re-syncing process is completed.

That is how I fixed my Wiimote problems. I believe they are worth a try. If your Wiimote sync problem persists after these simple steps, don't give up. You could get yourself a copy of Wii Fix Guide. It will give you more detailed and comprehensive information on Wiimote repair.
